Feeling Pretty Sad...

We miss him, all the time. But the past few days have been extra strange. DH and I drive out in the woods to look for deer during hunting season, and in the fall in general to look for pretty fall leaves; and Iberia always was along for the rides. We went just yesterday and Frank came along, laid down, good as gold in the back of the Jeep. He got out and walked with us along the trails, he is a good boy... but the ghost of Iberia would not leave us, was along for the whole ride...Iberia was my DH's heart dog... It is kind of eerie to be out in the woods without our boy, and yet feel his presence so near. Frank sees it, too.

It's so hard to try to go on when a beloved one is at the Bridge. I feel for you. Hang in there and keep those happy memories of your boy. We're here for you.

:( No words just tears for you. :f_pink

We need to act responsibly toward the plants and animals with whom we share the world, who have no voice, but whose presence make our world a blessed place.

Having lost my Emily to a horrible accident, I can understand what you're going through. It's terrible to EVER lose a beloved friend, but when you feel like it was partly your fault, it seems doubly hard. Not only are you mourning your pet, you're spending a lot of energy being angry with yourself, too.

It's been over a year since Em died, and I still play the 'What If' game, as I know you're doing. I wish I had a magic word that could take your pain away, but all I can say is that Iberia was loved, and is loved, and you know in your heart that HE doesn't blame you, and you shouldn't blame you, either.

Hang in there.

Laurie
