organistswife
Has anyone any experience of losing 2dogs with almost identical symptoms two years apart whilst the companion dogs are fine. They deteriorated very quickly, one dying within 4 hours, the other a couple of days. Vets totally at a loss on both occasions.
Hubcitypam
I'm sure your vets tested for it but Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia is all I have ever seen take girl dogs so fast and furious. Went through it twice. Fine to gone in hours and it hits middle age girl worst. I'm so sorry for your loss. Hugs. organistswife
Wow, you are so kind, we've just recently lost our 6 year old after just 2 years from rescue.
MaryJane
Were they on Proin by any chance? That can cause high blood pressure and as a result, death.
greysmom
Symptoms?? Did you ask for a necropsy? It could be many things - IMHA, as Pam said above, lymphoma, hemangiosarcoma bleed out, heart attack from DCM, a stroke or blood clot in the brain or spine, aneurism, even an extreme vaccine reaction. Lots of things that really an owner would have no control over, and a vet would not be able to treat. I'm very sorry for your loss.
