Hi there, new Greyhound owner here!

I was cuddling with my Grey Fergal yesterday when I noticed bruising on his legs. Has anyone ever seen this? (Photo attached) I am wondering whether this is normal and he just bit himself a bit too much there? Or is it a rash? It is on one side only.

He is absolutely fine with us touching it and it doesn't seem to affect him in the slightest.

Does anyone have advice, whether this is  normal and happens or should I go and do something about it?

Thank you for any advice!

Has he had any recent surgery/neutering in that area?  How old is he? Could be a skin thing.

From the photo it almost looks like 2 separate areas. Has he been playing rough and maybe ran into something?

Certainly something to keep an eye on.  With mystery bruises I use a Sharpie pen and outline the area and take pictures. That way I'll know if the bruising continues to spread.

Looks like local irritation to me. I'd prolly just put some soothing hydrocortisone creme/salve on it to hopefully keep it from itching and expect it to get well pretty soon. I am not a vet.
