Guess I haven't gotten over our first mutt girl, Rosie, and first greyhound, Gracie, chomping on some of the ornaments. Neither was hurt. My mom never forgave Rosie for chewing her under the-tree-nativity scene. At least baby Jesus was spared. Travel update for Rita: her plane lands in the US on Dec 9th. I'll meet up with Tracey, head of the Senior Sighthound Sanctuary, in Richmond VA on either the following Saturday or Sunday. She wasn't going to at all (two kittens and a puppy) but then she said, "Darn it all, they're just baubles. If I don't put any that are precious to me on the tree, the VERY WORST THING that could happen is they'll knock it over, and I'll have to pick it up. Is it really worth NOT seeing it's shining Chrisp MIx beauty because of something that might or might not even happen?" She's gonna wait until we come back from Ore Land Oh though. No sense in giving them a week alone in the house to get really creative!! Boy howdy!! Momma just pulled some dinosaur bones out of the hiding place and SHE GAVE ONE TO EACH OF US!!!! Miss Ducky and Mister Battle, we don't gots any ornamentals on our tree, just lightings. Momma botted some cheapo plastic ones to go on it, but they decided not to use them. Most of their good ornamentals are glass and anteek from the fiftylebens that they have collected over the years, so they are not being put at "risk" from three "rambunkshuss" dogs!!!! OH YEAH!!!!! That's awesome news about little Rita coming over!!! And good news for Miss Jenn being 4 years cancer free!!! Now tell us about getting anuther houndie! Mister Spirit's butt is famuss all over South Carolina!!! Could be worser I gess, tho I'm not sure how!!!! Miss Cherry, we sawed those stars last nite finally when all the cloudings went away. We sawed the Orion dood for the first time this winter - he's not vizible in the summer here. And the rest of the stars were so clear and brite, we just know that Miss Lila was shining down on all of us!! Miss Jerilyn Momma's gotta run errinds today. She was such a wonderful girl, and one of the most beautiful hounds I have ever seen.
