GreyhndHomecare
So, why does your greyhound whine? Or does he? I thought this would be a fun video topic...I think I got most of the biggies, but I can't help but feel that there are much more, including some really weird ones. What do you think, did I miss any? Thanks, Gail
racindog
Great video. I have a whiner and it does get on my nerves sometimes for sure. Mine will whine over ANYthing no matter how minor. If he wants his food NOW and doesn't want to wait for me to prepare it; if he is outside with me and another pack member and he wants to go back inside NOW, not 5 minutes later after the other dog has a chance to potty hehe. I plan to try and whine back as you suggested and see what he does. He doesn't roo- and I love rooers- and I actually have tried to teach him to roo but he is not into that. And if you go anywhere in a vehicle be prepared for CONSTANT loud whining- just because. He has a big nice big Gunner Kennel with a big very nice memory foam bed in it or you could leave him out of the kennel-doesn't matter. Its stressful when trying to negotiate through high speed dangerous traffic but such is my Royal Order of Whiners superstar.
Feefee147
Excitement! Took me a while to figure it out as he's usually a very quiet boy but.... once he knows a walk or dinner are coming he'll whine. If he sees a squirrel and can't get to it he'll whine the place down. And, embarrassingly, if we spot another greyhound whilst out walking he'll speed up to catch up and greet it, whining the whole way :-)
MandysMom
Sammy whines for many reasons, including, but not limited to: He's bored He wants food He wants a walk He has to pee and/or poop The blanket on the couch is not folded to his liking He knocked the blanket off the couch and he can't jump up there without it He's dug one of his beds into a nest and he no longer wants it that way Grandma cleaned out all her little trash cans so there's no paper for him to shred The sun is up The sun has gone down As you can see, he whines frequently. The only one I react to anymore is #4, it has a different, more urgent tone. Quote Beverly. Missing my happy toy-flinging boy Sammy (Where's Mandrill), (8/12/2009-9/30-2021) Desperately missing my angel Mandy (BB's Luv) [7/1/2000 - 9/18/2012]. Always missing Meg the Dalmatian and Ralph Malph the Pekeapoo.

Remolacha
Great video for anyone who has had a whiner I have to agree, annoying as whining can be, a barker is worse!
GreyhndHomecare
I loved reading through these answers, especially the list!!! It's so funny, with Lily, she's like a little kid - If I ONCE do something she likes, it must become a tradition. Gail
