Wainsco Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 Hi all looking for some help. We have two greys and older fella Mav who is so laid back he is horizontal and a 4 year old bitch Dolly both retired racers. Dolly is as daft as a brush and has high anxiety levels, a real typical Velcro dog. Dolly loves affection and cuddles from all the house hold members but when any none household female turns up she will bark and advance . This most significantly with our eldest daughter who doesn’t live at home an who has not been with us during lockdown. Today we seemed to have real success and she has been as good as gold with her , taking treats and even coming over for a sniff and a stroke. But while getting ready to leave tonight , our daughter was coming though the living room door to pick something up to take home and dolly, who was sitting in the sofa, stood, barked and advanced on her . On telling her to stop she went and laid down in the other end of the sofa. we have tried giving distance and time , providing treats on arrival to make my daughters presence rewarding, But we are lost for the cause of the behaviour As she seemed to be happy with her around today but then the sudden change . This has relay upset our daughter as she has been nothing but nice i guess it is fear , but over what I don’t know . any help, comments or advice would be appreciated Quote
