Vcolsen Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 Has anyone had any success with Animals Matter dog beds? I want to get something nice for my aging greyhound. If so, which type did you prefer? https://animalsmatter.com/products/ali-jewel-puff-orthopedic-luxury-dog-bed?variant=18026028105793 Quote
macoduck Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 With the exception of that puff bed, I've seen very similar beds at a much lower price at Marshall's and Ross stores. They often have orthopedic models. LBass Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 I've not had experience with that bed. It seems similar to one I do have--circular, deep, soft enough to allow the hound to sink in and nest. My 13.5 y/o Spirit has no trouble getting in and out of it and seems to enjoy the bed. The one you're looking at should work well. Quote Lucy with Greyhound Nate and OSH Tinker. cleptogrey Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 there are plenty of orthopedic beds out there with out the cost. for an elderly dog one needs a waterproof covering & something that's easily machine washable. when felix was old, arthritic and sore his favorite thing was a cot size down/feather topper that was given to us- yup. i folded it in half, had plastic garbage bags lining the topper and a washable cover. he adored that and i washed and bleached and dried as needed it at the local laundromat. you can find them online pretty cheap, his was at least 4" thick- so doubled it was 8" before compression.
