sore foot/leg??

Hey everybody. Hope you are all well and feeling good. Crazy weather in South Central PA. 64 degrees today!!! Our 3 year old male Loco has a sore foot. About a week ago he jumped off of his couch and we think that he may have gotten his foot caught in his blanket. After he came down, he was yelping and crying and holding his back foot up. He limped around for about 2 minutes and then begin to walk normally. I took him out to pee and he was walking normally and continued to do so for the next 2 days. He played with his ball and did his daily zoomies and was perfectly normal. Now when he gets up from a nap, he limps for a couple of steps and then returns to normal. He is still playing and doing zoomies. Anybody have any ideas what might be going on? Thanks, Michael

Probably a soft tissue injury.  Your vet can diagnose and give you a short course of nsaids, as appropriate.  

However, it's also possible he cracked a toe bone so an xray may also be appropriate.  See your vet.

Could be nails. Ours broke (but did not detach) a nail racing about, and when we took him to the vet to check his limping out, he must have knocked it a bit more and there was blood everywhere, which was the giveaway. But a visit to the vet will help the diagnosis

Look for corns too. (They walk better on grass and carpets and a lot worse on hard surfaces).
