The Greyhound Hall of Fame is selling a Festival of Stakes Winner t-shirt.  It has all the winners printed on the back.  My guy that died last year, UCME Bubbasparks, is on it so I ordered one earlier this week and it arrived today.  I wanted to pass on the information incase there is anyone else here who had a stakes winner.  It is $15.99 and the shipping is free.

That has got to be one of the most hauntingly depressing images I’ve ever seen. The poor dog looks like it’s wearing a medieval torture device. Wait, he is!

Wow, I didn't post it asking if people liked the image.  I posted it for anyone who like me has a dog who is a stakes winner and may not know about the t-shirt.  I am not in love with the t-shirt design or even the color but because it has my guy's name on it and since he has passed, I wanted it.  My husband and I are proud to show people his name on the shirt.

I think the image is remarkable.  The photographer appears to have edited the lighting to emphasize the intense focus in the hound's eyes prior to competition, and to make the muzzle look like knights armour.   As always, so much is in the eye of the beholder.

Thank you for posting the shirt - I would certainly want one if any of my hounds were in the list.

Thanks for mentioning this, I did not know that The Hall of Fame was offering it.

If your adoptee is on this shirt, you have bragging rights as these greyhound athletes are among "the best of the best".  It takes a lot of ability, determination and focus to get to the Festival of Stakes finals, let alone win, and that is exactly what this photo shows to me.
