We had a very nice time at Grapehounds in the Finger Lakes. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Nothing better than stumbling upon a winery with a boat dock right on Seneca Lake. Burke, Hopper, and I enjoyed our time at Miles Vineyards.

Boundary Breaks is always a favorite for us.

They have a fenced dog park that Hopper took advantage of.

Encarna learned bad habits from River. We missed River so much on this trip. This was our first event since her death in June and this moment was bittersweet. River loved to climb on tables.

We went sailing on the lake again this year.

On Sunday, we always hang out at Lakewood Vineyards.

This year, a tremendous storm rolled through in the midst of our gathering. We were rewarded with a rainbow.

We loved the tasting room renovation at Standing Stone. We really enjoyed their wines, as well.

We finally got our lazy butts in gear and walked the Gorge Trail in Watkins State Park. So beautiful there!

And one sweet picture of my Holly who turns eleven in November. She prefers the peace of our cabin to all of our running around. Thanks for looking!

Wonderful photos (as always!)--the one of Hopper running was my favorite...until I got to the one of her in the backpack! And the one of Encarna on the table. :lol

Kendra, devoted walker of Lucia (Larking About x Anastasia) and her son Henry (Tom Jones: Great Son x Lucia), plus Grandpa Grey the Galgo/Greyhound cross.

Missing Badger (Vf Get R Done: Quicksand Slip x Ll Tee el See), 5/7/04 - 2/20/14, who opened our hearts and our home to greyhounds,
Kenzie (Slatex Kenzie: Randy Handy x Slatex Chrisy), 4/16/03 - 10/29/14, who really knew what a good dog she was,
and Falcon (Atascocita Sabat: Dodgem by Design x Atascocita Barb), 9/13/10 - 1/31/20, who was grumpy and snarky but eventually a little bit cuddly, too.

I always love your pictures!  They also give me a different view of Grapehounds.  Sorry we didn't cross paths even once. I'd love to meet Hopper---such a cutie. I know you must have felt River's absence so deeply.

I did see Denise a few times and fell in love with Bean. We visited some new places, and skipped a couple old favorites.

And we finally ate at the Weinery!  OMG, I love that place.  The onion rings, the black bean burger......:heart Have you tried the Spotted Duck for ice cream?  Sooo good.

If we are lucky enough to go next year, we'll be there from Monday to Monday too.  The campground gives you a free day if you stay 6.

Fantastic pictures, as always. Encarna was definitely channeling River. She really loved her too. I’m glad we had a good week, especially now that the s**t hit the fan when we got home today.

LOVE all the pictures!! I haven't been back to Grapehounds in many years. How hot was it (be honest!)? I am a hot weather hater so I have always been hesitant to go back.

There was one day that was challenging but generally ok, especially as there was so much AC or fans.

We were very fortunate with the weather this year. Most days were in the upper 70s to low-mid 80s... which for this Virginia girl, was "cool." As Sara mentioned, all the wineries have AC or fans too. If you decide to come back one year, you can join us for a trail ride. We did our second one this year with Painted Bar Stables. Erika and her crew are fantastic!

I LOVE HER COLLAR in that picture!!!  Just perfect!

Great photos as always Tricia!  Our local rescues are all sponsoring a similar event around here next month and I really wish I liked wine better!  Grapehounds always looks like a ton of fun!

Beautiful pics (especially the storm pics!) and beautiful dogs.  Thanks for letting us live vicariously.

I kept looking for River.

Great photos... making me, once again, wish I didn't have a full time summer job as this event is reasonably close.
