macoduck
Can you give me some names of companies that provide cheaper rates for prescription dog meds? I'd like to make a list and see if my vet will price match. Hada takes Apoquel 5.4mg (half the pill twice a day) for her allergies and it really helps. However, it costs $103.60 for 30 pills. Heartland Vet Supply lists 30 pills for 59.10 -3.55 discount code= $55.55 (free shipping over $75) KVSupply lists 30 pills for 74.70 plus shipping. Anyone have experience with Heartland Vet Supply? Any other suggestions? I checked GoodRx and it looks like human pharmacies don't carry Apoquel since they only list HVS and KVS. Walliered
Google on line. I found it at Allivet for $1.57 a pill. The generic name is Oclacitinib. See if you can get it cheaper under the Generic name. Maybe try a Canadian pharmacy or Alldaychemist.com (India).
MaryJane
Try Costco - the online and the in store - you don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy.
Fostr_Mom
I used Costco for Gracie's Truprofen. Be aware though, if you don't have a membership they charge more and you either have to pay cash or they will take only visa cards. cleptogrey
i just used vetapproverx.com for the first time, excellent service.they had the best price on zofran(very few places carry it) and coupons. allivet also has coupons, i always call and ask for a coupon and do a price check on google shopping. allivet meets competitor's prices. txsbbtc
Check Walgreens. You can get the Prescription Savings Card for you dog (or cat) ($20 per year for individual or $35 per year for the entire family). Saved more than the annual fee the first time I used it. cleptogrey
i check everywhere and the prices are so varied! even for a simple thing like amoxicillin, i find it for 1/3 of the price at the local supermarket pharmacy vs. costco. the zofran was $109 at costco, the same amount including the coupon at vetapprovedrx was $8!!! same quantity, same dosage. a simple phone call time many does the trick!
