Hi all!

I adopted my greyhound Luna just 2 days ago and she is settling well. However i noticed when she is sleeping, she breathes quite rapidly and shallowly, and in a quiet room i can hear each breath coming out of her nose. I counted approx 48 breaths per min.. should i be concerned? She had also been panting a lot during the day, even when she is lying down.

She was recently neutured and is on antibiotics

Thank you for any advice!

Could be a bit of stomach upset from the antibiotics, or some leftover pain from surgery. How long ago was her spay?

It is a little unusual. It's more likely I have to check and make sure mine are still breathing! :lol Just monitor her for now until she's off any medication, though if you go in to the vet, definitely mention it.
