cleptogrey
We will be going to Texas, mostly the San Antonio area but hiking around at many of the state parks Jan. thru part of March. The pups are due for their Lepto Booster. In the NYC we deal w/ rats that carry it and we often hike in the woods using horse trails. In our area it's generally the rats and raccoons that are carriers. Annie is 10, Felix almost 11. When I spoke to my vet she suggested that I ask those in the area what the status is. Thanks in advance for sharing your info. Andrea
Hubcitypam
ts have been big believers in it unless the dog went in water a lot. I used to get when Rex and Buck went in the water access at the dog park. I guess that is clear as mud....

GreytTerp
We never had to get it living on the east coast (not in a major city), but we do have to get it out here in Colorado now. Given that it can be transmitted to humans as well, probably not a bad idea if the local vet recommends it.
