XTRAWLD Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Got a case of the D's here. Can I give Tylosin at 2pm and still be able to give Metacam at 6pm and Gaba at 9pm? greysmom Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Yes. Though I would double check with your vet. Tylosin is an antibiotic, metacam an said, and Gabapentin an anti seizure /nerve pain reliever. There shouldn't be any overlap. GreyPoopon Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 I haven't had any trouble combining them, although I do have more experience with Tylosin and Metacam than Gabapentin. KimB Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 My grey is on Gabapentin for pain and I gave him a dose of tylan for diarrhea last night. Woke up to him having a swollen area of skin hanging under his jaw line. Thought he must have injured himself so gave him his breakfast with tylan also, and he developed a swollen lip area too now. This is the only thing that has changed (the tylan addition) so I'm thinking it must be some kind of interaction. I'll not give it tonight and tomorrow and see if it recedes and report back. Just in case anyone has this question or experience too. Quote
