Guest GoingGrey
My vet thinks Jammer has blasto. My regular vet thought her chest films looked normal. But my greyhound vet just looked at them and saw a suspicious mass behind the heart. And she is already treating a couple greys from Chicago for blasto, so...i guess that would be a better outcome than cancer. I'm trying to find out where to get the urine test done and in the meantime, looking for best prices on the very expensive Itraconozole. I hear Arizona/Diamondback pharmacy? I love my lil' Jam, so much. :-( Lost Elvis, my first grey, late last year, so I'm not ready to lose another one. Sad, scared & already broke. If you have any positive stories, advice or experience with this, I'd appreciate your sharing. Thanks, guys.
Batmom
Doesn't Greyhounds Only have a dog with blasto? If your vet can't find a lab, have the vet call the UW teaching hospital -- or call yourself -- and ask where you can get it done. Best thoughts for your pup! Batmom
Someone on the board would know? Or the foster coordinator? MiraVista Labs in Indiana developed the urine antigen test but I don't know if they're the only one who performs it. UW would know, tho, or VCA or another of the big specialty vets.
