cleptogrey Posted January 6, 2017 Share Posted January 6, 2017 (edited) just curious, i was researching chondroprotec since that is what my new vet offers vs. adequan. when i looked it up the description mention use for open wounds in horses. any input on it? the price is considerably less. both of my dogs have been successfully treated w/ adequan- 6 injections, 3/4 days apart and then a booster a month later. WHAT A DIFFERENCE, the use of metacam for arthritis is greatly reduced and both have a nice spring in their step. would i need to go thru the introductory/loading again? then it's not worth while or can it be substituted for adequan? thanks in advance for your input. andrea Edited January 6, 2017 by cleptogrey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

How long since they've had their last dose of Adequan? My Vet recommended the 'loading dose' (like you have done) twice a year.
