a_daerr
Already forwarded to Dr. Couto. Can anyone with experience looking at rads help interpret these? The vet who took them suspects cancer (tumor in the abdomen, mets in lungs). Just trying to figure out how bad, and exactly what we're looking at. macoduck
I'm not too familiar with dog anatomy, but the lungs in the first and third images do not look good - lung appearance and that round-ish mass. tbhounds
Multiple mets in the lung field--the larger one is in the left side and there are at least two more noticeable ones. Hard to see the abdominal mass as the images are pretty light. It's a very "busy" abdomen-looks like the spleen is absent of a mass-empty stomach but, perhaps something near the pylorus??? Hard to see the liver. Wonder if it might benefit to run an abdominal ultrasound.
a_daerr
Thanks... That's pretty much what they told her. An ultrasound was suggested, but is cost prohibitive and probably won't change treatment. They feel he's in late stages (coughing, throwing up what little food he manages to eat), so it's most likely going to be pain management and palliative care.
