Guest Jacks_Human
Right around the holidays, Jack got what looked like a largish zit on his thigh. It seemed to pop, and now is a raw round spot. It doesn't seem to cause him pain (he lets me touch it) but he's been grooming at it on and off. Does this look like something that should be worried about? tbhounds
Hard to tell from the photo but, it may be staphpyoderma--Dr's typically dispense antibiotics and often medicated shampoo. Staph is often related to allergies.
JohnF
There is a ring-shape to it. Possibly fungal 'ringworm'. If your vet shines a UV lamp on it it will fluoresce if its ringworm.
Roo
My first thought was ringworm as well. There are probably a few things it could be, so I might make a trip to the vet.
