brindlehound
Joy is donating blood for the first time. This is the first time I've had a dog who has donated blood. Is there anything I need to know? I'm sure Penn Vet will give me care instructions. Quote Carol, missing Magic (1/5/01 - 4/15/15) but welcoming Fuzzy's Joy Behar (Joy) into my life on 5/31/15. NeedlenoseJake
Jake would like me to make sure I remind you that hero doggies always deserve a plain hamburger after donating He is usually very good, but lately he seems to not want to go in the back. Therefore, I think we're going to take a month off and see how it goes after that. Good luck! Patsy
As with hero doggies, hero hooman donors do knot have to count the points in their post donation pastry!😊 Quote Patsy and DH with the Humane Society specials, Linus & Jazz, in North Dakota
brindlehound
It turns out that Joy is quite unique among greyhounds. Instead of a negative blood type, she's positive so she could not donate blood. I called the vet to let them know and asked them to feel free to call me if they every needed a positive blood type for a transfusion. She is getting the cookie I got her anyway. She was so good today. Quote Carol, missing Magic (1/5/01 - 4/15/15) but welcoming Fuzzy's Joy Behar (Joy) into my life on 5/31/15.

moofie
Oh well hope joy enjoyed the trip out & cookie. My grey Hattie is also positive type, but the blood bank here accepts both types so she can donate.
BatterseaBrindl
Oh well hope joy enjoyed the trip out & cookie. My grey Hattie is also positive type, but the blood bank here accepts both types so she can donate. Ours does, too. Nixon and Ruby are both + , but they still donate.
