dbullwinkel
Last night was the second time Cozett caught a bird. I was able to get it away from her. After eating dinner today she went outside. Looking for her I found her chewing on another bird! This time she ate a good amount of the bird... Head was gone, feathers were on the grass. I have a call into my vet. Should 2 I be worried? shawna
No, Mojo ate a whole robin a couple of weeks ago. He was fine. Maybe some gastric upset. Quote Missing Hiro, Tank, and Tractor
RedHead
Most likely fine. Just keep an eye on things. Pretty natural behaviour for cats and dogs.
buddibear
No problem unless they through it up on the rugs... It's what they did back before KFC
Beachbum1
Taylor swallowed a robin whole one time. No big deal. No feathers the next day. No nothing.
EllenEveBaz
Birds have been eaten here, too (sigh), with no digestive upset. Those raw little birdie bones are generally no problem. Birds can carry fleas, and who knows what other parasites they may have. My dogs get the heartworm medicine that also kills some other worms, and I hope this may protect them from unwanted passengers. sobesmom
No issues here when Diana ate one. Gross, and sorry for the bird, but it happens.
