A couple months back, our group took in a nearly 12 year old greyhound that had been placed on craigslist by his longtime owner. A couple fell in love with the hound and they were all set to have him delivered to their (perfect) home today. Last night, that hound, Quinn, slipped on tile floor, and was in extreme pain. He was rushed to the e-vet who confirmed a badly fractured humerus and osteosarcoma. We had no choice but to end his pain. The worst was having to call his adoptive parents, who were all excited that he was coming to his forever home the next day, and tell them that Quinn had passed away. Several of our adoption group members were able to go to the e-vet and tell Quinn goodbye. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Quinn was so happy living with his foster mom, and would have loved his forever home that he should have been moving into today.
