Sarah "forgotten"

My husband grew up with his family always rescuing and fostering greyhounds. When we finally moved out of our tiny city apartment into a house with a fence, he immediately jumped at wanting to adopt a one. I, on the other hand, had no experience with greyhounds and I'll admit, I was uneasy about it at first. I started researching and found It's A Grey Area, outside of New Orleans. Everyone had great things to say about Lesley and her dogs. We saw Sarah's picture online, a dark brindle with her tongue hanging out... Hubby was sold on her!

Sarah has been with us for 17 days now, she is 100% my dog and I'm completely attached. I cried the first day we had to leave her to go work, I'm talking ugly, sobbing crying in the car. Her personality has come out more and more over the last 2 weeks. She's even started working on her zoomies around the back yard. We had one set back, the day she decided that the crate was no longer her place to be while we were at work. Image our faces when our crated greyhound, greeted us at the door! But we have since learned that it was nothing a couch and some good toys couldn't fix.

Sarah is peacefully asleep next to me as I type, no care in the word except for when the next treat is! I can surely tell you all, Sarah will never be "Forgotten" in our home!

Welcome forever, Sarah! Love the white tip on her tail. And that collar is the perfect color for her dark brindelosity. :)

Woohooo. When I got my black grey and then red fawn grey I thought Brindles were so ugly. Now I have a dark brindle and she is my heart dog!

Enjoy!

She's a beauty, I have a dark brindle as well :beatheart . Her personality will probably continue to grow and evolve as time goes by. And watch out, one day you may find yourself thinking about adding a second :D.
