KickReturn Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 I vote for too heavy. Try working him toward just a few pounds above his racing weight and see how he looks and feels. Some retirees are best at or close to racing weight. In general, retired greys are all so well cared for that a "reserve" in case of illness etc. is not really necessary IMO. I'd rather have him a few pounds heavier in case he ever faces a medical emergency. They loose weight so quickly when sick.
