Guest zombrie Posted May 5, 2015 Share Posted May 5, 2015 I haven't posted here in a long time but some of you might remember me and my pups. Just having a bad day missing my girls. Last June I lost my GSD Kodie unexpectedly to bloat. On April 21st I unexpectedly lost my beautiful Mira. She was fine one minute and the next she was in distress and in so much pain and stumbling as she walked. X-rays revealed a very large tumor in her chest near her heart, and they suspected cancer in her spinal cord as well. She was in too much pain and we couldn't let her suffer. She was so tough and strong, she must have been sick for awhile but just wasn't showing it to us. Mira was my first greyhound and she forever changed my life. My heart feels so numb and the house feels so empty even with 3 other dogs in the house. She was the most gentle creature. I keep looking for her and calling her name. I miss the way she'd howl when the phone rang, come over and rest her head on my lap, that drippy nose, watching her play with her favorite toy... She was such a special girl. Even my girl Minerva is missing her, always sleeping in Mira's bed, which she never did before. We all miss our brindle beauty. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
