Frisby It's Been Two Years

It's two years today since I said goodbye to my beautiful gentle giant Frisby and not a day goes by when I don't think of him. If anyone had told me how much I would miss him, I wouldn't have believed them, but I know he had a good life and I am grateful for that. This was the last time he had that mad greyhound run on a beach.

Such a lovely beach for a last run. Rest peacefully, Frisby :gh_run2

"It is also to be noted of every species, that the handsomest of each move best ... and beasts of the most elegant form, always excel in speed; of this, the horse and greyhound are beautiful examples."----Wiliam Hogarth, The Analysis of Beauty, 1753.

I know exactly what you mean. Slim crossed over in 2006- and as you say he is always everyday on my mind. But you know what? I love it. He taught me from the other side that he would never leave me. Sure he's not in body any more but the real Slim-the spirit Slim-will be with me always. So I think the reason we think about them all the time-"still"- is because they are still with us all the time!!! Frisby will be with you always-enjoy and bask in his presence. Even if you go back to that same beach-you know he will be there with you. :bighug

"For love is as strong as death....
Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it.
If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised."

-Song of Solomon 8:6-7

It has been almost a year since we lost our first grey Brassy Coors. I think about him every day as well. Run free, Frisby, and know you were loved.
