FiveRoooooers Posted April 16, 2015 Author Share Posted April 16, 2015 I have this weird, unexplained connection to the Titanic and had completely missed that about its sinking. Late in the afternoon and into evening yesterday the wind was roaring, just as it was a year ago. The seniors and I walked down Seamie's road and watched the deer in the lower field and the ducks on the pond, all the while the wind was howling yet somehow it felt entirely peaceful. I did some gardening and without planning found myself planting two trees (in Seamie's honor, trees had been donated at the Superior National Forest). After dinner, the campers honored their friend with frozen FEET! that I'd discovered way back in the freezer. I made dinner and Andy was at my elbow waiting for a bite, mimicking his mentor perfectly. Thank you all for helping me get through this day as we remembered our friend Seamie.
