Dry Air Causing Increased Drinking? New Theories/update #37

Recommended Posts

we did input/output before treating for DI. also my adoption rep who is a vet mentioned TICK BORNE DISEASES and we did the protocol for LYME then tried the vasopressin tannet. basically my vet said it won't harm him, avoid further testing and give it a try. most vets do not use the VT. but mine had some on hand. the VT is hard to find, the newer drug can be given as either eye drops or tabs. from my conversations with other people who dogs have had it they stopped the meds and were surprised that the symptoms were gone. it can be stress related.

i though Neyla'sMom started this,Jenn, NO?

Yes, I did, it was about Zuri. His dx was psychogenic polydypsia. Or maybe it was the weather, but the internal medicine specialist said PP, as a diagnosis of exclusion. It did resolve.
