Guest mindy10
Hi everyone, I was doing some research so see if any ones dog does a fast hacking noise. It kinda sounds like he is clearing his throat. (not a full blown cough) I do notice that he sometimes spits up yellow bile in the mornings too. But the hack noise is pretty much everyday at least once or twice. He can be playing when it happens or barking or just walking across the room. Could it be acid reflux related? Two different vets are not concerned.
Houndtime
My boy, Fuzzy, coughs at least once or twice a day. It sounds like an old man clearing his throat. Mostly in the morning. Two years back he had an issue with this; coughing all night long. We took him to the vet and they x-rayed his lungs. It should congestion and our vet said it seem to be chronic bronchitis. At that time he was given a cortisone injection and it immediately stopped. Now we think it is allergy related as it does get a little worse in the spring and fall. They can take Allegra; not Allegra D. Guest mindy10
Thanks for getting back to me Greyaholic. She said his lungs sounded fine and his heart too.
Guest mindy10
This is the noise. It sounds like what the Chi is doing in the video.
