Last month vet check all tests and everything was fine. We are going back this Sat for her checkup and nail trim and we'll ask our vet. Any ideas. turbotaina Posted January 30, 2015 Share Posted January 30, 2015 If her blood and urine both look good, it could just be idiopathic polydipsia My boy does the same - he's been known to drink upwards of 4 quarts a day and he's perfectly fine, kidneys concentrate urine, his numbers are good. He just really, really likes water. He also drinks when he's excited, when he's bored, when he wants attention and when he's frustrated. It's an emotional response for him. Dad2Paisley Posted January 30, 2015 Author Share Posted January 30, 2015 It's not a new thing but she does lick a lot. She is on meds for that. Maybe that makes her more thirsty. Most of the time it seems like the 3 of the dogs are racing to see who finishes the water bowls first. They all have their own bowls. They are keeping her to get her vaules up but if all goes well she can come home in a few days. We'll just have to keep up what they did at the vet. I am so sad. Poor little girl.
