Guest CleverJason
Well, Baron lost a toenail this week. It was a bloody mess, but the vet has him all patched up and he seems to be healing just fine. I believe this is the third one he lost...I know for sure he lost one with his foster family more than a year ago, and it still hasn't fully grown back. Is that normal? And could this possibly indicate some kind of condition? Thanks!
Neighsayer
Could be SLO. Check out the greyhounds with SLO group on Facebook. Fish oils, vitamin D and niacinimide have helped him.

Houndtime
More than likely SLO. When they grow back they tend to be gnarly and misshapen. He will do well if you follow the medical regimen. FiveRoooooers
Seamus had SLO and lost almost every nail very soon after he arrived here. We did only the Vitamin E, 400U twice a day, and after a few months he never lost another one. His nails grew back a bit thicker but they weren't any trouble to dremel.
