Guest AndyK
Hello Quick question as my hound is about to change from Metacam to Previcox - does it matter whether it's given in the morning or evening? Not sure if one is preferable? thanks
tbhounds
Doesn't matter but, it should be given with food so, I would give it with the biggest meal of the day.
JohnF
I wouldn't give it on an emply stomach as you don't need something new contributing to acid production and stomach bleeds. Ask your vet if you can give Antepsin (Sucralfate) with it for a while. I'm assuming the vet has recently checked Liver and Kidney stability? I'm sure it accelerated my last dog's kidney disease, but there had to be a balance of length of life vs. quality of life.
Guest AndyK
thanks, will def be with food. Swapping from Metacam as apparently less harsh on kidneys
