Oscar :(

Any improvement is very encouraging, but getting up voluntarily and moving around is GREYT! Eating, peeing and pooping are wonderful, too! Sending prayers for continued improvement.

Just seeing this and I'm pleased to see that Oscar has been improving. Praying this continues.

Oscar was his old self for about a month and a half. Now he is sick again with what looks to be the same issues. I don't know what to do :( . His back end seems to be weak and he panting quite a bit. His nose is still wet so I know he is at least hydrated and will eat and drink. He is only 8 years old I don't want to say good bye. :candle:dunno:unsure

I'm so sorry. :( Has your vet seen him this time around? Did Oscar ever have the cat scan or MRI? I hope you can get to the bottom of this and find your sweet boy some relief.

I came home from work and he was jumping to see me. So I am thinking he is okay right now. Finally got a call back from the vet, his thyroid was within normal range for a greyhound. I am now thinking it may have been the drastic weather change we just had. It went from a comfortable mid60s to mid30s. Thoughts?

Has your vet considered the possibility of stroke? Greyhounds are more prone than other breeds. Any protein in his urine? Has his blood pressure been checked? Consider doing a consult with Dr. Couto: http://coutovetconsultants.com/

It has definitely been a while. Oscar was doing great till yesterday. He is back to dragging his back leg and panting a bit. Of course our AC decided to break last week and just waiting on a part to come in so they can fix it. Oscar is resting comfortably right now on my quilt and an ice pack.

He seems to be moving a bit better today. I was looking at his paper work and just realized that he is 9!!!!! OMG where has the time gone. I am thinking that maybe the heat was getting to him. It has cooled a little today.

Thank you everyone for the good thoughts and generosity of love for my baby boy. You all are truly loving friends.
