krissn333
A work friend is moving to the Milwaukee, WI area. She has a wonderful husky named Spirit who has seizures. He's been on zonisamide and is doing pretty well, but, as those of you with seizure pups know, it's an ongoing struggle sometimes. Can anyone recommend a good vet who is particularly great with seizure dogs? I was pleased that their current vet put him on zonisamide to start off with (I know pheno works for some but it seems there are better options out there now). Rustyroo
What part of Milwaukee is she moving to? I grew up in Milwaukee, but have lived in different suburbs of Milwaukee too. TwiggysMom
Kristin, you might try the GPA_WI forum, too. I'm not sure it's as active as it once was, but there are lots of houndie folks there. Guest budsmom
Its not Milwaukee proper, but we (GPA-WI) use WI Veterinary Referral Specialists for almost all our special needs hounds. Lakeshore Vet has also seen our dogs and a former board member makes all her pets there.

SarahsBlackPack
I have a friend who lives in West Allis. I can ask her which vet she uses? I know she uses one in New Berlin, which is isn't far at all. Quote Sarah, mom to Stella and Winston . krissn333
Wow, so many great suggestions! I'll compile a list to give to her so she can check them all out and see what would work best for her Quote Kristin in Moline, IL USA with Ozzie (MRL Crusin Clem), Clarice (Clarice McBones), Latte and Sage the IGs, and the kitties: Violet and Rose Lovingly Remembered: Sutra (Fliowa Sutra) 12/02/97-10/12/10, Pinky (Pick Me) 04/20/03-11/19/12, Fritz (Fritz Fire) 02/05/01 - 05/20/13, Ace (Fantastic Ace) 02/05/01 - 07/05/13, and Carrie (Takin the Crumbs) 05/08/99 - 09/04/13. Rustyroo
She can also try Kuenzi Vet. They are in Waukesha. That's who I used for years. She should see Dr Mike. He is very knowledgable about greyhounds.
