My heart breaks for you. My old girl has some similar problems but is still hanging in there; however, I know it can't last.

I wish I could say something to soothe the hurt you are in. I share in your grief, I'm more sorry than I can say. :cry1

Pam, I am so sorry that it was not peaceful. Please try to focus on all the wonderful times you had with Poodle instead of dwelling on the last painful memory.

Happy Trails, Poodle.......give heaven a little stir-up, won't you?

Pam, I'm so sorry. It's the last gift of love that we give them, even as it breaks our heart in pieces.

Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog.

This is what Dr. Joe said it was....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spondylosis

"Do not go gentle into that good night" That was Poodle :cry1

Thank you I was looking for that quote all day.

Do not go gentle into that good night

Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
