Neighsayer
I just joined amazon prime, and decided to try dog food delivery. In looking for the green bag, I found the salmon. I couldn't find the page with the ingredients. My guys loved the Costco salmon. Anyone know about this stuff? I ordered a bag to try. I do not plan to renew my Costco membership next month, and got tired of running out to the pet store because I forgot to buy dog food. A new BJs is opening near me in a few months. Anyone familiar with their dog food selection? With five dogs, and many more larger critters, I try to keep the cost down.
KF_in_Georgia
Looks like chicken is the first ingredient in the Iams Salmon. http://www.iams.com/cat-food/iams-healthy-naturals-adult-with-atlantic-salmon Sorry. Wrong page. I googled Iams Salmon Dog Food, but it linked to the cat version. Odd that the dog food version should be so hard to find online. ============================= ETA: Is it this one? http://www.iams.com/dog-food/iams-so-good-succulent-salmon Edited June 22, 2014 by KF_in_Georgia Quote Kathy and Q (CRT Qadeer from Fuzzy's Cannon and CRT Bonnie) and Jane (WW's Aunt Jane from Trent Lee and Aunt M); photos to come. Neighsayer
I can still only find the cat food. It says blends WITH salmon, so I didn't expect to find that listed first. One of my girls has been walking away from her dish recently, so I wanted to try something new.
MaryJane
IAMs has an ocean fish with barley that is interesting ... (available from Amazon - Prime) http://www.iams.com/dog-food/iams-sensitive-naturals-ocean-fish-rice-barley-recipe
Hubcitypam
I looked at some of the Iams So Good varieties when they first came out. I'm not a dog food snob, but I do want something besides corn as the first ingredient, by products as the second and soybean meal as the third. I'm not opposed to any of the above further down the list, but that's just me.. Since salmon is listed after animal fat is more like essence of salmon. I'd stick with regular Iams.. krissn333
Would not be something I'd pick. Corn is the first ingredient...followed by chicken by-products. Any semblance of meat is way down the list and it's salmon, not salmon meal. Not something I'd consider. If you used to feed a Costco food, look into Diamond Naturals. The Costco grain-free food is the exact same thing.
