Both skilled chefs, I hope that mom and Seamie have connected and are up a storm together. June 16th. Seamie's 14th birthday, his first at the Bridge. He has been gone two months minus one day. He left suddenly and so very fast. Since April 15th, I have not felt human. That night after he had made it outside and to his cushion and had given up his fight, and then in the BOH as we traveled together for the last time, I had tucked his fleece blanket around him and gathered him up close to me. The blanket is still comfortingly soft and filled with Seamie's scent and I can't bear to wash it. One of Seamie's last gifts to me was to get Andy here and for that I am grateful. It was just like him to do that. Have you experienced the catch in your throat and heart when your eyes connect across the room with the one you love?
