Using A Fishing Rod To Play With My Greyhound

I have a small child's fishing rod (3' long) with a small toy attached to the end of the line that use to play with my cat.

My new grey has started becoming very interested in chasing the toy inside the house and there is not enough room.

Has anyone tried this outdoors with a big fishing rod and a toy?

Search for the term Lure Pole. I know that there are some people here who use them.

Found this on YouTube

I bought a 6 foot lunge whip from the local feed and farm store. Tie a plastic bag or light toy on the end of the whip. Probably a bit more durable than a toy fishing rod (or a real one, for that matter). The first time your dog catches the toy and takes off, you'll wish for something sturdier!!
