macoduck Posted October 31, 2013 Share Posted October 31, 2013 I saw a chihuahua at the emergency vet once. It had taken a piece of xylitol sweetened gum from it's owner's purse. One piece. As the owner waited to hear what was happening in the back I saw that her purse was still open and the pack of gum in easy reach. The little dog didn't make it.
