dbullwinkel
My Ig has been having back issues. Tramadol helps somewhat. He has been on/off steroids a few times. GABA helps my grey so much. I asked my vet about staring Flex on some. She said the issues is his size. We would have to have it compounded at a pharmacy for him. He is 13 lbs. any suggestions. Also. I wanted to try some arnica gel on his leg. Is that safe for Italian greyhounds as long as he doesn't lick it? He is sensitive to EVERYTHING. He cannot take NSAIDS. Currently favoring right leg. Thanks for any help!! Edited August 24, 2013 by dbullwinkel
KF_in_Georgia
Gabapentin also is available in a liquid formula (for kids), but that usually has xylitol added. Since xylitol is toxic to dogs, that needs to be avoided, but it might be possible to get an unsweetened liquid version through a regular pharmacy. tbhounds
We just had it compounded for a client-was not expensive. Try Wedgewood Pharmacy :-) Edited to add--they often become lame with a neck injury-might want to consider robaxin :-):-) Edited August 24, 2013 by tbhounds
dbullwinkel
Thank you. I was thinking about a muscle relaxer as well. He had acupuncture Thursday. First one in long time. He was much more comfortable Friday. Edited August 24, 2013 by dbullwinkel
