Guest 18tjettagrl
Do any of yours do this?? Victoria has been doing this for months and it is only when we walk. If she can't squeeze enough out to mark when we are walking...she poops. I have never seen so much poop in my life. I found it so odd. I thought at first her tummy was upset from food or maybe the clover she ate but then I started noticing a trend. It's a oh ok can get any dribbles so I'll poop on it. After thinking about what I'm typing yes as childish as it might be I'm snickering. She doesn't do this at home or when we go to the dog park which she still only goes for Human attention. Lol. Just walking and when she's got a good scent. Maybe it's a I'll top you one attitude. 😕

Guest Doggone
Nope, never heard of this , but there'll be no doubt which territory is HERS!
Guest debster
My boy did that this morning. No pee left, and he squatted and pooped on top of a bush. One heck of a cleanup, there. I'm glad my bags are tough! I didn't really care because the poop was outside and not inside
Hubcitypam
Poodle has done that for 12 years. He runs out of pee so he poops. It cracks me up to see him work so hard to come up with a couple of pieces of poop.
Guest Avisher224
Both my boys do this on longer walks- we call it "marking with their butts". Not a huge fan- I got through a lot of bags trying to pick it up, but whatever, could be much worse!
Guest Waterdog66
Yup, Audrey does this; only in an area she is familiar with. She normally leaves the "Roll Down the Hill" variety EXCEPT when marking; Then it is more like "Soft Serve". Not a huge problem except when walking along the seawall at the beach because its makes it a lot harder to properly clean up
Guest 18tjettagrl
I seriously feel like I can't take enough bags with me to clean up. And for those few squirts where it's like what am I even picking up and how do I do this without making a larger mess. I sometimes forget I have headphones in and say out loud really Victoria?? Others hear me and I'm sure are thinking hey look its that crazy talk to your dog woman again. My husband says that like mother like daughter as in he thinks we are both weird. Totally fine, probably why she loves me best lol!!! 😄😄😄

And no, it was NOT easy to clean up!
Guest shanesmom
My first boy did that. He peed on everything and when he ran put he backed up and pooped. My last boy Elton and my current boy Ace are not markers. Ace squats and pees like a girl and he's done most of the time. Sometimes at events where there are lots of other dogs he goes more often. Guest Rhea
Dane ONLY poops in the back yard so far. And it took him a day or two of being home for him to finally feel comfortable enough to "let go." He's also incredibly particular about where he poops and pees. It takes him a good 5-10 minutes to settle in on a spot, unless he really, really needs to go. Trying to teach him commands to associate with elimination to help this out, but I'm not sure it's been working so far. Mainly, if I use the clicker, I'm not sure when I should click and reward. When he's finished? When he starts going? And how do I reward if that is the case, without getting some splash-back? XD
sobesmom
OH yes. When in a "public" situation (i.e where other dogs are/have been) - I've always noticed that my dogs (male and female) will delve the depths of their intestines to come up with "something" to leave if the spot demands it - one squirt - one turd - one poo-squirt - whatever. Totally normal. And actually - sometimes useful. We were at a M&G one time - and a fellow grey-owner had been there for hours with her skittish dog - and was sure her dog needed to "go" - but wouldn't. I was outside with my dog - who peed in a certain spot - and called them over and said "walk through here". Her dog smelled it - and relieved herself right on the spot. Then - I let my dog go back and do a tiny poo on the spot - cuz she wanted to - didn't "need" to - but just wanted to.
