tbhounds Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 An itchy face usually equates to allergies. My boy has allergies and the worst symptom he has is an itchy face. You might try an antihistamine like Claritin or Zyrtec. I don't find Benadryl to be to benefical for allergies. Benadryl is better used for an acute allergic reaction such as a bite sting. One of my dogs once had a teensy tip from some sharp grass buried in the gum -- took some looking to find it and could've caused a big problem if not removed.
