Puss From Boy Parts

Recommended Posts

Probably smegma rather than pus. In small amounts, normal discharge. Smegma is to a sheath what snot is to a nose :) . Don't google it.

In large amounts or especially thick or especially smelly, can indicate infection, usually cleared up just by flushing the sheath a couple times with saline.

No experience but sending my well wishes! I'd take Teddi to the vet in that situation too. I don't mess around with reproductive parts (even if that purpose is no longer useful :rofl)

I'd go to the vets too. Discharge can indicate problems, and I don't know enough about a dog's anatomy to sit with that.

OK, there is seriously something wrong with me. I kept reading the heading and kept wondering what the heck a puss (a kitty cat) would be doing coming from a boy part. Finally I had to break down and read the story. Puss.............ewwww, that icky yucky stuff. Now I get it. Hope all is well.

It was smegma. He was very patient while she examined him VERY thoroughly. He would like everyone to know 2 vet trips in 2 days is unacceptable. Molly, however, jumped in the car to try to go with us.

I'm supposed to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any worse. The things we do for out furbabies....
