Guest happygrey
Tatam had his teeth cleaned today and also had 4 teeth (none that big) extracted. A couple were abscessed. His vet sent him home with Dermaxx. I gave him his dosage tonight (37.5 mg) but wondered how common this was as a painkiller for post dental care? tbhounds
If the Deramaxx doesn't seem to be enough for pain control you can safely add Tramadol. It's very common to dispense a NSAID like Deramaxx post dental-it reduces inflammation and pain associated with the extractions.
Guest happygrey
Thanks, everyone. I will watch him and see if he seems to need tramadol to go along with it.
DonnaBehr
Didn't they give you an antibiotic also since they removed 4 teeth. Quote Mom to Melly and Dani Greyhound Bridge Angels - Jessie, Brittne, Buddy, Red, Chica, Ford and Dodge.

He seems to be doing very well though. And his breath is like another dog's!
