greysmom Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 I will always fear a quiet, focused, tense dog much more than a barking, jumping one. This is a great article. One of the things we tend to see here in T&B is people taking one behavior, or part of a behavior (such as growling) out of the context of the entire interaction. I have to remind myself to look at the situation, the dog's body language, any other animals in the area (because it might not be about me ), where the toys are, etc., to make sure I understand why a dog is growling (for example).
