She lay on it for ten seconds then got up and laid down on the cool tiles. As is usual, Miss Melody contravenes sense and does whatever the hell she wants. I was ready to blame it on the Tramadol, but it's so totally in keeping with her normal manner of doing things that I just can't. So things are looking good. These first couple weeks will be tough, but things get better week 3-4, and by week 5-6, she'll be totally back to her old self. She's been off the Tramadol for several days, is on her last dose of antibiotic this morning, and is moving around much more easily and comfortably. We made a bed for her in my office which she now refuses to use, instead preferring to lie on the cool tile floor. That's good, because it means I can move the furniture back in and get back to work! (I work from home.) She goes to have her sutures removed on the 13th - which in our house is a lucky number - and I'll post here with the doc's prognosis. Thanks, everyone!
