Guest ebsnyder
Our grey has the worst gas! It can actually wake me up at night. It's not the noise but the smell. We feed him Costco's Nature's Domain Salmon and Sweet Potato dry dog food which is what the man we adopted him from used. George just turned 2 years old. Any advice? Guest Celestrina
How long have you had him? Sometimes stress, like settling into a new home, can cause problems with diarrhea. Maybe this could be from stress. Wait until things have settled down before addressing it.
tbhounds
Could be stress, intestinal parasites or the food not agreeing with him. Are his stools formed?
Guest Celestrina
Having his stool checked is a good idea regardless.
a_daerr
As the others stated, it's likely stress, food, or parasites. I would probably treat with a broad-spectrum dewormer like Drontal Plus just to be on the safe side (if you haven't already). If he's having lots of diarrhea, it may be time to switch food. But if his stools are formed on his current food, then consider adding a probiotic like Forti-Flora.
Guest Scouts_mom
I've found that sweet potatoes give my dogs horrendous gas, so you might want to try some other food.
