CleosMom Posted December 3, 2012 Share Posted December 3, 2012 Our beautiful Cleopatra ran her final race on December 1st as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She was diagnosed with osteo on November 24th and the cancer was making her tired and unhappy. I adopted Cleo, my first greyhound, in November 2002. She tripped (really!) out of her crate and I fell head over heels in love. It is because of Cleo that I have spent the last five years as an active volunteer with our local adoption group. As she was passing, I promised her that I would continue to send retired hounds onto their forever home. And, every single one of those hounds will be in her memory. Thank you Chicken for 10 glorious years. Thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world of greyhounds and some great friends. We are sad...but we also have a feeling of peace knowing we did the right thing for our girl.
