Guest greytkidsmom Posted September 24, 2012 Share Posted September 24, 2012 Time to do the happy dance! Several months ago Kebo was diagnosed with hemangioperiocytoma on his left wrist. It was just this little lump that I asked the vet to look at while he was under for his dental. I turned out to be cancer. She cut it out but didn't get clean margins. We consulted with OSU and they recommended a series of chemotherapy injections directly into the area that the tumor was. It took four injections at one or two week intervals. His last injection was two weeks ago. Today we went for our final checkup. His ankle is a bit bald but the skin is flat. Now we just watch. The therapy has a success rate similar to radiation which is about 2 years before recurrence. Whatever comes, we will be grateful for every day we have with our boy.
