robinw Posted August 7, 2012 Share Posted August 7, 2012 Ugh. Iker is going in for a dental tomorrow. He has a tooth that is broken near the gum, which has been like that since I adopted him. I'm a nervous wreck since he is the first galgo ever seen by this clinic. The clinic is very experienced with greyhounds since their groomer breeds and courses CKC hounds, but that doesn't stop me from being really scared. Please send him good thoughts, ok? If so, then you need to make sure that you have stopped any "fish oil" for at least a week before surgery. Also, you might want to talk to OSU and see if you should get Amicar - just in case. Our Marco has had 2 dentals, under anesthetic, and he did fine, hopefully that sets you mind at ease, even if just a little bit. We'll be looking for updates. Hugs!
