Guest reneern120
I adopted my third grey Lilly in feb. She is really sweet however despite the heat she stays outdoors. I HAVE A DOGGIE DOOR AND A FENCED in backyard as i work 12 hours shifts. MY OTHER 2 GREYS will come in and watch tv with me and i have 3 doggiebeds in the kitchen and 3 in the living room. Lilly will be outside in a hole of dirt she has dug until i call her in for "eats" or "walkie". She comes when i call her and wags her tail when we walk and she meets others people or dogs. Yet her interactions with my other 2 greys is limited and she stays outside while my other 2 are in the house. She always has the option to come in and does eats and drink. Then she goes right bock outside to her hole!! Is she antisocial or what do you guys thing is going on!! My other 2 greys are tristan and Banana. Banana is very outgoing and has her tdi certification. Tristan was a bouncer but he is a good boy and i got him to keep Banana company while i work my 12 hour shifts. i have not seen any signs of agressions between the 3 and i in fact walk all 3 at one time. Is Lilly afraid weird or antisocial? I just started classes with her and i wanted to get her tdi certified at well. Is this a good idea or not? TheFullHouse
The thing is you don't know how the dogs interact with each other when you're not around. They may have had words and Lilly has decided the best place for her to be is outside. I'll give you an example, I have two boys who are space aggressive. When I'm not in the room and someone gets too close they will growl or snap, when I'm in the room they will look at me and not say a word in the same situation. I have one boy who likes to lay in the entrance to my bedroom and when the dogs try to go by him he will snarl and snap unless I'm standing right there and then he will look at me and not make a sound as 4 dogs walk right past him. It would be interesting if you could tape what went on while you were out of the house for 12 hours. Your clue may be in there. The other possibility is that she just likes it outside but I sure wouldn't want her staying outside in this heat.
